Overview

Providing exceptional pet health care in Amesbury to every patient, every day

Founded in 1967, Amesbury Animal Hospital has been committed to serving Amesbury, Massachusetts, and neighboring communities in Northeastern Massachusetts (Salisbury, Newbury, Newburyport and West Newbury) and Southern New Hampshire (Kingston, East Kingston, Haverhill and Seabrook) for decades. As a full-service mixed animal hospital, our veterinarians serve both small and large animals of all varieties. Our animal clinic is proud of the veterinary services we provide, including routine and emergency medical, surgical, and veterinary dentistry to a wide range of animals, including dogs, cats, horses, cattle, goats, camelids, and other livestock, both individually and with herd health services. Our veterinary hospital was initially established by Dr. Robert A. Marston and, soon after, Dr. Thomas C. Candee to serve the largely rural community of Amesbury, MA with veterinary services for livestock and companion animals as well as veterinary care for over twenty dairies. While the dairy farms have waned over the years, our care for animals of all shapes and sizes has not, as we continue to provide excellent veterinary services to the ever-evolving community we live and work in. Together, our current co-owners Dr. Kirk T. Smith and Dr. Jacqueline L. Bastien share large and small animal duties along with Dr Angela Durkac and Dr Mary Freinger and Dr Hannah Zaneski. We also have two other small animal exclusive veterinarians: Dr. Linda Hanneman and Dr. Stephanie Andruskevich. Once you’re a part of our pet hospital, you’re family, and our retired veterinarians still stop by from time to time to visit

Mission — Providing exceptional veterinary medicine to every patient, every day. Our goal is to provide exceptional care for all patients, and our veterinarians and veterinary staff are dedicated to doing just that. At Amesbury Animal Hospital, we are a family. Our Core Values of Integrity, Compassion, Excellence, Education, and Respect are the fundamental, ethical, moral, and professional business beliefs of our veterinary hospital
