Overview

Holistic Veterinary Medicine - Dr. Fraser is honored to help families through the important life stages of their pets. The end of a pet’s life is a sacred time that deserves love, respect, and the comfort of their own home

Since 2013 I have used holistic medicine to honor our pets as whole beings…body, mind, and spirit. I am now being called to do this exclusively through gentle, loving, and peaceful end-of-life care. Dr. Fraser grew up in the small town of Winterport, Maine. She attended Elon College in North Carolina for her undergraduate studies in Biology. It wasn’t until her third year of college that she realized veterinary medicine was a much better fit for her than human medicine. In preparation for vet school, Dr. Fraser spent a year in Maine working in a mixed animal practice and then two years at UNC Chapel Hill working in neuroscience research. It was here that she met her husband, Randal. Dr. Fraser attended vet school at North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine and graduated in the top 10% of her class in 2007. She focused on mixed-animal practice in school, but decided to dedicate her professional life to dogs and cats. She worked at a busy, multi-doctor practice in Raleigh, NC for a couple years while Randal finished graduate school. In 2010, their family relocated to Baltimore after Randal accepted a post-doctoral fellowship at Johns Hopkins Medical Institute. In April 2013, Dr. Fraser started a house call veterinary practice doing acupuncture and Chinese medicine after studying at the Chi Institute of Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine. This practice has evolved into Fraser Veterinary Services which added home euthanasia services in 2015. The summer of 2019 was eventful as Dr. Fraser and her family relocated to Massachusetts
