Healing Happens Here. At the New England Wildlife Centers (NEWCS), we run two non-profit wildlife veterinary hospitals and education centers located in Barnstable and Weymouth, Massachusetts. Together we work to provide veterinary and rehabilitative care to the sick, injured, and orphaned wild animals
The Nonprofit New England Wildlife Centers, is a grassroots, entrepreneurial venture launched by a group of Massachusetts citizens 40 years ago in 1983. We worked out of Bare Cove park in Hingham, MA using the former military ammunition bunkers as our hospital. In 2001 this all changed! With a development department of two, and no outside help, the Center completed an $8 million capital campaign to build the first-in-the-nation wildlife hospital and science education facility. Over six years ago we expanded our program to include the Birdsey Cape Wildlife Center in Barnstable, MA
