It’s not just a privilege to care for your pets; it’s a responsibility we take to heart. For over 20 years, families across Harford County have trusted us to deliver expert care with integrity. Whether you share your life with a dog, cat, or exotic species, you can count on us for the skilled, attentive care your pet deserves. Award-Winning Veterinary Care since 2003, voted Best of Harford in 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2024

Chadwell Animal Hospital first opened its doors in September 2003, the vision of Dr. Keith Gold and Dr. Ruby Schaupp—a husband-and-wife team with years of experience in veterinary medicine. After working at several hospitals throughout Baltimore County, they decided to combine their ideas, skills, and dedication to create a practice that would be professional, efficient, educational, compassionate, and fun. The name 'Chadwell' carries personal meaning. It was inspired by their first dog, adopted from the island of St. Kitts and named after the town where he was found. Chadwell was a resilient, loyal, and brave companion, and the hospital was named in his memory
