The Pet Wellness Center is dedicated to delivering high-quality veterinary medicine with a special focus on preventive care. They believe that through top-notch preventive medicine and annual well pet exams, they can identify potential issues early, intervening in a timely manner to ensure pets remain healthy and joyful for years to come
Dr. Twardus started the Pet Wellness Center on July 30, 2007. Prior to that the facility had been known as the Tome Highway Animal Hospital and it had been run by Dr. Brown and his wife. Dr. Twardus grew up in near-by Newark, DE. After attending the University of Delaware and graduating with a degree in animal science, she studied at the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine. She graduated with Honors in 1998 and went on to work in central Pennsylvania before moving to Cecil County. Since moving to Maryland she has worked both in a specialty referral practice doing emergency medicine and also in general practice with small animals
