Overview

Compassionate and relaxed in-home acupuncture, physical rehabilitation and palliative care for pets in the greater Portland, Maine region

I started Twilight, Quality of Life Vet Care after years of being frustrated that I couldn’t do more for my older, chronically ill patients while working in a general practice. There simply wasn’t enough time in a 20- or 30-minute appointment slot to discuss quality of life issues or all the options for treatment of any given disease (and many of our pets have more than one)

Mission — We take the time to listen to your concerns, and focus on pain and symptom management (sometimes called palliative care). We use a combination of medications, acupuncture, physical rehabilitation (PT but for animals), and nutrition to help your pet feel their best for as long as possible. Your in-depth care plan may include the option for eventual in-home euthanasia, but we will guide you through those difficult decisions
