Overview
At Parkway Small Animal & Exotic Hospital, our focus is to provide complete and individual care to every client. We do this by staying on the cutting edge of veterinary medicine and technology, as well as encouraging collaboration, communication, and transparency. Whether your pet barks, meows, squeaks, tweets, or hisses we are committed to help you!
Parkway Veterinary Clinic was founded in 1969 by Joseph Miller DVM at 36400 Groesbeck in Clinton township, Michigan. In March of 1999, the clinic was purchased by Thomas Bankstahl DVM. After some initial renovations and conversion to an appointment basis, we enjoyed a wonderful time of growth with the practice. We grew out of our old building, and in December of 2003 expanded and moved to our current location at 39321 Garfield in Clinton township. Our name grew with us and was changed to Parkway Small Animal & Exotic Hospital. We grew from a 2000 sq. ft. practice to a 9000 sq. ft practice encompassing 10 exam rooms, state-of-the-art facilities/diagnostics, and plenty of parking which was much needed from our previous site. Our name changed to include the addition of our large following of exotic animal patients. Our patient basis has grown to over 18,000 active clients with 50% being birds, reptiles, or small mammals. Our doctor staff has grown to include 7 full-time practitioners
