Loren A. Weaver, DVM, P.C.

Dr. Loren A. Weaver graduated from Purdue University of Veterinary Medicine in 1980. He has been in practice for 35 years. The past 28 have been focused on the specialty of chiropractic, accupuncture and Chinese herbs, treating primarily horses, dogs, and cats. Cattle, llamas, camels and birds round out the patient roster that benefit from his care

The son of a farmer, he spent 12 years working in Kenya, East Africa prior to, and after graduating from veterinary school. During that time, he attended the University of Nairobi, taught school, guided photographic safaris, managed a 140,000-acre cattle ranch and practiced veterinary medicine. While working with racehorses in Africa, he determined that between the wet season, producing extremely thick deep mud, and the dry season, with cement hard ground, that more options were needed to help the animals and maintain soundness. He began studying accupuncture with an Indian Master. In 1987, he and a small group of colleagues began pioneering the pursuit of incorporating the techniques of chiropractic medicine and acupuncture to expand the capabilities of traditional veterinary medicine
