As I considered potential names for my veterinary practice, I wanted to find the right word to reflect my personal values and enthusiasm, the excellent veterinary care offered, and the convenient, friendly, professional office environment offered. As an avid follower of Dr. Brené Brown’s work, I often encountered her use of the word “wholehearted”. The Oxford dictionary definition of wholehearted is “showing or characterized by complete sincerity and commitment”. Wholehearted Veterinary Care is devoted to bringing wholehearted values to the local veterinary community. Our patients, their humans, and our hospital team can all benefit when we work together practicing compassion, integrity, communication, innovation, and excellence in veterinary care. I am excited about the opportunities Wholehearted Veterinary Care will provide by enriching and expanding the metro Grand Rapids veterinary community.
