Overview

Warren Woods Veterinary Hospital has been providing veterinary health care to the community in a family atmosphere since 1966. Our goal is to provide the best veterinary care possible to your pet. Our doctors have special training, experience and interest in canine and feline medicine, as well as avian and exotic pets. We offer comprehensive care at our full service, state-of-the-art facility

Warren Woods Veterinary Hospital was opened November 17, 1966 by Doctor William Mullan. Dr. Mullan graduated from Pennsylvannia State University in 1959 as a Veterinary Medical Doctor. During his schooling, he completed a 15 month internship at Angel Memorial Veterinary Hospital in Boston. Dr. Mullan served as president for both the Macomb Veterinary Association and the Southeastern Michigan Veterinary Medical Association, and was on the veterinary medicine licensing board for nine years. Dr. Mullan is now retired and living in Warren. Dr. Leroy joined the Warren Woods team as a partner in ownership with Dr. Mullan in March of 1968 until he passed away in April of 1970. Dr. Mullan did not have another partner until March of 1985 when Dr. Evans joined the team. Dr. Cappel started working at Warren Woods in June of 1991 and in July of 1997 she bought Dr. Mullan’s share of the hospital and became an owner. When Dr Evans moved to Arizona in 1998 Dr. Cappel became the sole owner of the practice. Warren Woods Veterinary Hospital added an addition to the original building in 1976 to better accommodate its growing client base. For a time there were five veterinarians working at the hospital. In May of 2008 Warren Woods got a new and improved reception area complete with lots of windows, two bathrooms, two new exam rooms and kennel runs. At Warren Woods Veterinary Hospital, some of our team members stay only for a little while, but many stay for quite some time. We believe that once you’re in the Warren Woods family, you are always family. Many previous team members still visit our hospital, including the founder, Dr. Mullan

Mission — The mission of Warren Woods Veterinary Hospital is to instill confidence in our high quality veterinary services. Our knowledgeable and professional team administers compassionate care to the community in a family atmosphere treating all pets as our own. As a result of our excellent care we establish a trusting relationship that enhances the human-animal bond
