Overview

North Country Veterinary Clinic is a full-service facility that cares for companion animals, exotics, avian and aquatic species. We are committed to providing quality veterinary care throughout the life of your pet. Our services and facilities are designed to assist in routine preventive care for young, healthy pets; early detection and treatment of disease as your pet ages; and complete medical and surgical care as necessary during his or her lifetime. Proudly serving the pets and pet owners of the Grand Rapids community since 1994

In 1984, Dr. John Howe moved to the Grand Rapids, Minnesota area and established North Country Equine and Large Animal Medical Center*, where he and his wife, Diane, decided this was where they wanted to 'put down roots.' Initially, the clinic was a solo practice operated at Dr. Howe's home, however, in 1994, the move was made to our present location. Additional doctors and their support staff were added. Continuing the desire for quality medicine and care of patients, additional services were added—ultrasound, dentistry, orthopedic surgery. A large addition to the building followed and growth continued. Presently, there are multiple dedicated veterinarians, along with highly qualified veterinary technicians and caring staff who provide services to a diverse clientele
