Animal Clinic of Diamond was opened at its current location in 1992 by the late Harold "Doc" Haskins and his wife Jayne. A local, regional, and somewhat national celebrity, Doc was known by many for his knowledge of animals, agriculture, politics, and pretty much anything else you might want to talk about. Doc never hesitated to offer advice to anyone on just about anything whether they asked for it or not. To know him was to love him. Passion was the common denominator of all Doc's interests. Whatever it may be, he was passionate about it. There may be no greater representation of Doc's legacy and passion than the Animal Clinic of Diamond itself. Settled on a working stocker cattle ranch, the Animal Clinic of Diamond and its patrons are the physical embodiment of Doc's passion for agriculture with a shameless partiality to beef cattle. He would have made sure to tell you that the success and reputation of the Animal Clinic of Diamond would have never achieved all that it has without his wife and practice manager, Jayne. Jayne is owed credit for managing and maintaining all the business Doc recruited. If you have been to our facilities, you know exactly how impressive her business acumen and standard of service is. Jayne maintained ownership of the Animal Clinic of Diamond after Doc's passing in Dec, 2017 until the clinic was purchased by Dr. Gentry in May of 2021. It is of little surprise to those who know Jayne that she remains on staff as one of the standing practice managers. For those that do not know her, this decision is a clear representation of her dedication to ensuring the success and continued growth of the business she and Doc built together
