Dr. Cahill embodies the mission to care for every patient as family. As the owner of Academy Animal Hospital, she’s established a team and culture within the practice that promotes and provides compassionate care for every pet that comes through the door

Dr. Cahill received her veterinary degree from the University of Missouri in 1999, moving to Joplin shortly thereafter. She purchased Academy Animal Hospital in 2012 from Dr. Mark Storey upon his well-deserved retirement

Mission — Our clients and patients are truly like family to us. We go above and beyond to ensure each experience is exceptional for both client and patient. As a Fear Free certified practice, we prioritize compassionate care and practice Fear Free medicine. We are also a Feline Friendly practice, committed to creating a low-stress environment for our feline patients. We are dedicated to inclusivity, proudly serving individuals of all genders, races, nationalities, and cultures. Our commitment to environmental sustainability is reflected in our investment in solar panels, the use of recycled materials, and our support of eco-friendly services such as Dropps laundry pods. We are proud to give back to our community through active involvement in local initiatives. We support causes that align with our mission, including Daniel Comfort Dog, who provides emotional support to those in need, and Nine Lives Cat Lounge & Adoption Center, which offers care and second chances to homeless cats. Through these partnerships and ongoing outreach, we strive to strengthen the human-animal bond and build a more compassionate, connected community
