Dr. Meda Bacon (formerly Dr. McClure) grew up in southwest Missouri, surrounded by animals. She earned her undergraduate degree in Animal Sciences and Behavior from Missouri State University while working as a veterinary technician. She received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Ross University, completing her clinical year at Colorado State University. After graduation, she spent several years as an associate veterinarian in a mixed animal practice. She recognized the importance of compassionate geriatric care and the need for gentle in-home euthanasia services, leading her to establish Greener Pastures, which later expanded into the opening of McClure Veterinary Clinic in Ozark, Missouri
