Overview
501(c)3 Not-for-Profit Organization providing low-cost spay/neuter and wellness services
The Saint Louis Metropolitan Spay Neuter and Wellness Clinic began in August 2010 as a 501(c)3 non-profit for the purpose of establishing programs and policies that will decrease the number of unwanted dogs and cats euthanized in Saint Louis each year
Mission — Our primary objectives to achieve this goal: Statistical analysis of the St. Louis Metro Animal Community shows that in 2009 shelters took in 52,000 pets, adopted out 13,000, returned or transferred out 19,000 pets and euthanized 23,000. Knowing, through research that for each spay/neuter done; one less animal enters the shelters. Math would then suggest that a dramatic increase in spay/neuters will cause a significant reduction in euthanasias
