Laurie Animal Hospital

Laurie Animal Hospital is a full service animal hospital and boarding facility. We welcome pet patients of local residents and those of visitors to the Lake of the Ozarks. The veterinarians and friendly staff at Laurie Animal Hospital also take every possible measure to make your pets comfortable in our boarding facility

Dr. Tichy grew up in the St. Louis area and always aspired to be a veterinarian. He earned both his Bachelor of Science and his DVM degrees at the University of Missouri-Columbia. After graduation, he returned to the St. Louis area to be close to family and practiced as an associate veterinarian at a small animal practice. After meeting and dating in veterinary school, he and Dr. Cobb were married in 1991. They stayed in the St. Louis area, working in separate veterinary practices for 5 years. In 1996, they purchased Laurie Animal Hospital and moved to the Lake of the Ozarks area. Since arriving in 1996, they have witnessed major changes and growth on the west side of the lake. The clinic was remodeled and doubled in size in October of 2005. Dr. Cobb grew up on a farm just outside of Montgomery City, Mo. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture and her DVM degree at the University of Missouri-Columbia. She then worked as an associate veterinarian in a mixed-animal practice in Chester, Ill. for 1 year. After she and Dr. Tichy were married in 1991, she moved to the St. Louis area and practiced in Hillsboro for 2 years and Arnold for 3 years. The doctors then made the decision to search for a practice of their own in a smaller community. Laurie Animal Hospital seemed the perfect fit, as it offered Dr. Cobb the opportunity to practice part time
