Veterinary care has been offered at this location since the mid 1950s when Dr. E. W. Cole established Cole Animal Hospital. In 1972, Dr. R.C. Williams purchased and renamed the clinic Handsboro Animal Hospital. In February 2023, Dr. Neely Gaddy Beaugez purchased the clinic from Dr. Williams
