Montana Equine is a full service equine hospital. Since 1999, our practice has stood for excellence in equine veterinary care. With our talented team and state-of-the-art equipment, Montana Equine Medical & Surgical Center is unique in our region. As we continue to grow, we will never compromise our commitment to excellence in equine veterinary care and client communication. Our practice was initially founded as “Equine Veterinary Associates” by Dr. David Catlin in 1999, fulfilling his vision for a specialty equine referral hospital in Southwest Montana. Dave fostered an environment of excellence, and as he worked to consistently improve the level of veterinary care, Equine Veterinary Associates grew to be known for superior equine medicine and surgery at our first clinic location in Belgrade (15 miles West of Bozeman). Dave hired Dr. Peter Heidmann as the first board-certified equine medicine specialist in the state of Montana. In the wake of Dave’s tragic death in late 2005, Peter reformulated the practice as “Montana Equine Associates” and continued to build what Dave had started. Construction for our current clinic location in Logan was completed in October 2007. The commitment to excellent patient care and client communication has guided this practice since its inception, and continues to this day
