Overview
CALM ANIMAL CARE IS a full service, caring veterinary clinic near Kalispell dedicated to using the best resources to care for your pet. Located just 10 miles west of Kalispell in Kila, we serve all of the Flathead Valley and beyond
Our founder, Barbara Calm started Calm Animal Care in a cabin up Truman Creek in 1984 and moved her office to Kila in 1985. Over the years, she and her associates have treated dogs, cats, and other pets as well as wildlife and livestock. In 1997 Dr. Calm began exploring alternatives to traditional veterinary medicine, earning accreditation in veterinary acupuncture and in veterinary chiropractic, receiving referrals from other veterinarians all over Montana. In 2025, Dr Calm's two senior associates, Dr. Karen Hartle and Dr. Meg Gordon, took over ownership of the clinic and have continued the tradition
