Overview
Western Montana Equine provides veterinary services to the Missoula, Montana area. We service all equine species including horses, ponies, mules, and donkeys. We provide both mobile and in-clinic services
The practice was started in 1992 by Dr. Bill Brown. Dr. Brown was able to build the practice and eventually built the clinic to provide one of the few surgical facilities in the area capable of working on horses. In 2018, Dr. Matt Witzel took the reins as Bill moved into enjoying retirement. Matt has significant experience in reproduction, dentistry, emergency medicine, and lameness
Mission — The practice was built on the doctrine of providing dependable, friendly, and thorough care to our patients. We love our jobs and our patients, and we bring that enthusiasm to every case we see, whether routine or challenging
