Overview
Pinnacle Animal Hospital is a full-service companion animal hospital serving Asheville, Arden, Fletcher, and the surrounding areas
In the mid 2000s, Dr. McMullan and his wife recognized that they wanted a change of scenery from Ohio. Dr. McMullan started working at a practice in WNC and after a few years of working at that practice, he came to realize that he was ready to have a practice that supported his philosophy on caring for pets. Coming to this, it was 2011 and with the recession of the late 2000s beginning to be behind us, he sought to find a place that would be able to be the home for what is now Pinnacle Animal Hospital. From the beginning, he wanted Pinnacle to support the pets of our community, but also to see that there is a person or a family behind the pets. With this he chose our tagline: Compassionate Care for Pets and Their People. The lighting of the hospital, the structure, the paint colors were all chosen with the hope that we wouldn’t be looked at as a “regular” animal hospital. We hoped that the people that came to us would wish that we could be their doctor and to feel comfortable within these walls. A large part of that compassionate care is education. It’s important to every member here that not only do the veterinarians and RVTs complete continuing education, but our veterinary assistants, our CSRs and practice manager also continue to learn more about caring for your pets. We take the time to also teach our clients, and to make decisions together as to the best care for your pet. We know that it’s important to understand why our pets need certain medications, diagnostics and/or procedures, and we value the relationship each pet owner has with their pet. We look to continue to build the relationship you have with your dog, cat, hamster, guinea pig, bearded dragon, or other furry/scaly creature
Mission — To deliver high quality veterinary care in an environment that fosters compassion for both our pets and their people
