Overview
After Hours Urgent Care Clinic for Pets • Walk-Ins Welcome. Same-day, after-hours veterinary urgent care, 365 days a year. Affordable alternative to the emergency vet, up to 40% less
UrgentVet was founded to fill the gap between your regular veterinarian and the ER vet. The UrgentVet concept was created by Dr. Jim Dobies, a beloved veterinarian. Dr. Dobies recognized that pet parents needed another choice in veterinary services – an alternative that would offer flexible after-hours care, without the premium cost of a 24-hour emergency hospital. To fill this urgent need, he created UrgentVet – the clinic for pets who can’t wait to feel better

What reviewers say
UrgentVet in Belmont provides dedicated after-hours urgent care and emergency support for pets when primary care clinics are closed. The facility features a clean, welcoming environment equipped with comfortable private rooms designed specifically for sensitive end-of-life services. The veterinary team and support staff are widely regarded as compassionate, thorough, and highly professional, offering clear explanations and gentle handling for anxious or distressed animals. While most experiences highlight prompt service and reasonable pricing compared to traditional emergency hospitals, occasional concerns involve billing disputes, high costs for advanced diagnostics, and communication gaps during peak busy times.
