Riverwood Veterinary Clinic is a proud family owned and operated practice. Dr George Kahdy has worked in the veterinary field for over 40 years and has opened numerous practices in that time, including Wake Veterinary Hospital. In 2010, Dr. George had a vision of opening a second clinic in the rapidly growing area of Clayton. In April of 2011 his vision came to fruition, and Riverwood Veterinary Clinic opened its doors. In the summer of 2011, one of Dr. George’s daughters, Dr. Kathryn Kahdy moved back to the area to help her father start this practice. A graduate of NC State Veterinary School, Dr. Kathryn was the primary veterinarian for several years. As the practice started to grow, Dr. George decided to sell Wake Veterinary Hospital and join his daughter at Riverwood. After a couple of years, Dr. George took a step back from the practice and handed the reins over to Dr. Kathryn. You can still see Dr. George working at the clinic on a part-time basis. Dr. George’s second daughter, Dr. Kristin Kahdy joined her family at Riverwood in 2017, and together the three grew the practice. As of today, Riverwood Veterinary Clinic has five doctors and a large support staff
