Overview

The Spay Neuter Veterinary Clinic of the Sandhills is a high-quality, high-volume, low-cost spay-neuter clinic located in Fayetteville, NC. Our skilled veterinary team offers wellness and spay/neuter services for dogs and cats in the North Carolina Sandhills and surrounding areas through our stationary clinic at 2709 Bragg Blvd, our mobile surgical clinic, and low-cost vaccination clinics in the counties surrounding Cumberland

The Spay Neuter Clinic originally opened in Vass, NC on December 10, 2007, and was founded by Dr. Joseph Currie, with support from the Companion Animal Clinic Foundation. In 2014, Dr. Cindy Eaton took over ownership of the clinic from Dr. Currie, which was a natural transition since she had been managing the practice since 2008. SNVC was partnered with the Companion Animal Clinic Foundation from 2007 to 2019 to allow us to provide surgeries at or below cost to owners and rescues. Starting in 2020, SNVC began a new partnership with The Spay Neuter Initiative Program (SNIP) to ensure that SNVC would be able to continue to support and subsidize surgeries for 501c3 rescue groups and those in financial need. SNIP is a non-profit created to fill the gap in pet care that happens when an owner simply cannot afford the care they want to give their pet. With the new partnership, SNVC was able to expand services to include wellness and vaccines and vastly increase their financial assistance program for both surgeries and vaccinations. SNVC has grown so much since opening in 2007 and has performed more than 88,000 high quality, low-cost spay and neuter surgeries since that date. Over the last almost thirteen years, SNVC has vastly outgrown the building that we were leasing in Vass and, at the close of 2020, moved to an updated, much larger space to continue to grow and operate. The new clinic building is located at 2709 Bragg Blvd, Fayetteville. In August of 2023, SNVC also opened a satellite location at 1400 Linkhaw Rd, Lumberton. Cumberland County and neighboring Robeson County were identified as the area of highest need for low-cost spay and neuter services in North Carolina. Through this move, we were able to expand our services to help more pets who would not otherwise be receiving adequate veterinary care

Mission — The mission of SNVC is to reduce pet overpopulation and increase the quality of life for pets through increasing accessibility to spay, neuter, and wellness services to cats and dogs in our area
