Greenville Mobile Equine Service was started in the summer of 1997 by Dr. Linda Balot as an equine ambulatory practice servicing eastern NC. The goal was to provide solid veterinary services by educating our clients on proper preventive care and being there if needed for emergencies. Dr. Linda also enjoys equine reproduction services, and was hoping to make artificial insemination (AI) a little more popular in our area. Many years later, the goals are still the same, but the practice has expanded to meet the needs of the community. We now have a 10 acre facility on the Southeast side of Greenville. We have expanded to 3 veterinarians with a four person support staff. We now have a 3000 square foot facility to help handle your horses needs. We can run IV fluids on a colicky horse, do a complete lameness examination including digital radiographs, or handle your mare's artificial insemination at our clinic. While most surgeries are referred to nearby NC State College of Veterinary Medicine in Raleigh, some of their surgeons will perform simple procedures at our facility
