Dr. Gary Stutesman graduated from Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine in May of 1992. He and his wife, Lisa, and four children then moved to Hickory, North Carolina. His vision for the future was to move to a growing family friendly environment and open a veterinary hospital. That was the Mountain View area of Hickory, NC. He then bought property with an old home on it on 127 south, had the Fire Dept. across the street, burn the house down, and had local contractors haul in 250 truck loads of dirt and grade the property....Mountain View Animal Hospital soon became a reality. Mountain View Animal Hospital opened in November of 1993. It paved the way to support his family, make long-lasting client relationships, seeing second generation kids with their own families, and after 23 wonderful years, given the opportunity to care for clients and their extended family members. Because of the overwhelming community support Mountain View Animal Hospital has grown from a one doctor practice to a more than 2 doctor practice. Dr. Stutesman and his family still have a home in the Mountain View area and now his son is a veterinarian and is practicing at our sister clinic, Village Animal Hospital in Mooresville, NC
