Overview

Animal Hospital of Onslow County is a well established small animal care facility that has been providing quality health care to pet owners in Jacksonville, Midway Park, and Camp Lejeune, North Carolina since 1950. Dedicated to delivering compassionate, personalized, stress free veterinary care. Some of the many services we offer include cyro-surgery, dental care, in-clinic diagnostics, in-house pharmacy, surgery, and wellness visits

Animal Hospital of Onslow County was established here in Jacksonville by Dr. Smith in 1950 and saw Dr. Glass and Dr. Altman as successive owners, continuing the excellence in service Animal Hospital of Onslow County became known for. Now, in 2024, Dr. Candice Thomas took over ownership for Dr. Altman as he began his well earned retirement, beginning another generation of private ownership by a local veterinarian. Dr. Thomas also owns Jacksonville Veterinary Hospital and College View Veterinary Clinic and is dedicated to serving the community she calls home. In a time of corporate takeover and corporatized customer service, Dr. Thomas and the team at Animal Hospital look forward to putting community first and bringing the best and most advanced pet healthcare to Jacksonville

Mission — Our mission at the Animal Hospital of Onslow County is to provide your pet with the best quality of medical care. We know it can be scary and stressful for both you, and your fur-baby, to come into the office. Here, we strive to make your experience as pleasant as possible while, at the same time, keeping you informed about what is going on with your pet's health. The Animal Hospital of Onslow County team is here to educate you, give you our best medical advice as far as what to do, and to walk you through the process of any potential diagnostic or treatment plans that may be necessary. Here at Animal Hospital of Onslow County, we are committed to your pet's health and well being. We know that your pet is a part of the family and we want to give them as many healthy years with you as possible
