The practice was started Labor Day weekend 2002 by Dr. Jen Sula and Dr. Matt Mason. Initially, Blackwater Veterinary Services operated out of a portion of Dr. Sula’s home but after 4 years of planning, the present hospital facility was built in 2006. The hospital includes three exam rooms for small animal patients as well as a barn area for large animal care on the premises. The practice also maintains two fully equipped vehicles to provide appropriate care for animals at their homes and farms
