Overview

Veterinarians Providing Compassion, Collaboration, Community. Our veterinarians are highly skilled in urgent and critical care, and our equipment and diagnostic resources are cutting-edge

Dr. Richard Maus was destined to be a veterinary practice owner. He fulfilled that prediction in 1985 when he purchased a northern New Jersey practice that had been operating since the 1940s—a strong foundation on which Westfield Veterinary Group, the region’s leader in full-service general veterinary care has been built. For years, Westfield Veterinary Group home was a repurposed farmhouse. With a close-knit team and an approach that prioritized treating clients like family, the community grew to trust this special kind of veterinary hospital—with succeeding generations of pet owners continuing to rely on the practice for high-quality primary care and around-the-clock emergency care. The practice has evolved from a single doctor to a thriving entity with 60-plus dedicated team members, and a state-of-the-art hospital facility housing next-generation equipment and an onsite laboratory. And now, Westfield remains on the forefront of respected, responsive veterinary care as it moves its emergency operations to a brand-new facility in Union in 2018, expanding its primary care practice with this second location

Mission — We believe passionately in two values: growth and innovation. The future of veterinary medicine and how we care for animals must continue to evolve. To do that, we must continuously push the limits of what is possible. As lifelong learners, we make it a priority to stay on top of the latest advances in science and technology. Complacency and status quo are the enemies of progress. Every single day we try to improve because you and your pet deserve to be treated by a team who want to always be at their best
