Dr. Hewitt opened his first practice in January 2000. In 2001 he developed an interest in veterinary dentistry, which rapidly turned into a passion for the field of veterinary dentistry. After extensive continuing education and practice of veterinary dentistry, he started his alternate pathway residency in veterinary dentistry in 2010 and became the first board-certified veterinary dentist ® in the state of Nevada full-time in 2018. Until 2023, he was practicing veterinary dentistry out of the hospital that he started in 2000.
