Heaven Can Wait Animal Society was founded in 2000 by Harold Vosko with the goal of preventing unnecessary euthanasia and improving quality of life for cats and dogs. It started as a sanctuary and later opened a high-quality, low-cost Spay & Neuter Clinic in 2010. Key milestones include reaching 100,000 patients in 2014, 200,000 spays/neuters in 2025, and policy changes like the 2009 spay/neuter ordinance and 2024 microchipping ordinance
