Fort Hill Animal Hospital is a full service veterinary hospital located in Huntington, NY. Our staff is dedicated to providing the highest quality of veterinary care for your pet. We offer a variety of services from the routine office visit to surgical care
Fort Hill started as Ackerman Dog & Cat Hospital at the turn of the century by Dr. Ackerman. It was bought in the 1920s by Arthur Trayford, a local hometown veterinarian. It was then sold to Dr. Frederick O. Wright in the 1950s. Dr. Wright did extensive renovations and expansion in the early 1970s. This is what made Fort Hill into what it is today. Henry Travis, another local homegrown veterinarian bought the hospital in 1980. After the turn of the next century, he was joined by his daughter, Lyndsey Travis
