It is Dr. Fallek's opinion that animals have the natural ability to heal themselves and it's the physician's duty to facilitate the healer within. Therefore she believes in using energetic and other natural modalities to rebalance the dis-eased being. She has found that there is rarely, if ever, the necessity to use toxic drugs. Dr. Fallek is a conventionally trained veterinarian who is now dedicated to a natural, holistic, drug-free approach to health. She incorporates many healing modalities, tailoring the treatments to each animal's needs

My love of animals began when I was very young. However, my education and studies initially drew me in a different direction. An inquiring mind and a pursuit of truth led me to a degree in philosophy. This has served me well in my life: I learned to think for myself, question accepted norms and trust my inner voice. When I became a vegetarian at seventeen-years-old, I learned the difference between health and dis-ease. I began to question the synthetic and chemical additives with which the food industry adulterated our food. I sought a more natural path to health, rejecting the popping of pills. Understanding their vested interests, I questioned the pharmaceutical companies’ claims of safety and “cures” with their drugs. After college, I decided to follow my heart’s dream and pursue a life helping and serving animals. Veterinary school, though, was tough going, as it seemed less like healing and more like dispensing the medications that I distrusted. Although conventional medicine can be beneficial in some acute and life-threatening conditions, it faces severe limitations and many risks with the drugs used to treat most chronic conditions. Life has a way of unfolding as it should. A few years into my conventional practice, I learned of a veterinary acupuncturist in the area. I began to refer some of my difficult cases to this practice, which resulted in many “miraculous” cures. When Annie, my Rottie-mix, developed autoimmune joint disease (most likely the side-effect of a vaccine), I decided to go to take her for acupuncture, as I was reluctant to give my beloved dog any of the standard drugs. This was the turning point in my career. Although Annie did not respond, encouraged by the many success stories I overheard in the waiting room, I decided to enroll in the only existing certification course of acupuncture in the USA. That was in 1993. I haven't looked back since. Two years later, I began formal studies in classical homeopathy. Although I loved acupuncture, I discovered that homeopathy could treat an even broader range of conditions, ranging from behavior disorders all the way to cancer. I continue to attend world-wide homeopathic conferences yearly. Today, I couldn't be happier. I feel blessed to be a vehicle and a witness to true healing, to see the "incurable” cured or at the very least to extend the quality and length of many animals’ lives to a degree conventional medicine considers impossible. This exciting journey is a joint endeavor, between me, the animal and their human companion
