Dr. Suchanek was born in Czechoslovakia, studied veterinary medicine in Italy, and frequented post graduate studies at the Animal Medical Center. Upon graduating, he began practicing veterinary medicine in Stamford, Connecticut. He established Midtown Animal Hospital in 1989 after realizing the need for a neighborhood veterinarian in the East Midtown area of Manhattan
