Overview

Rye Harrison Veterinary Hospital is a full-service veterinary facility offering exceptional veterinary medical services, along with boarding and grooming services, for dogs, cats, and exotic pets. Located in the city of Rye, New York, our doctors and staff serve the surrounding communities in Westchester County, New York and Fairfield County, Connecticut

For over 60 years, we've been serving the owners and local pets of the Rye Harrison community. Dr. Gary Yarnell purchased the Rye Harrison Veterinary Hospital (RHVH) from Dr. Howard Harmon in 1980. At the time, the practice consisted of one full-time and one part-time veterinarian, with a support staff of four, working in a single story building. Under Dr. Gary Yarnell’s leadership, the hospital has grown into a six-doctor practice with a strong support staff team. Currently, state-of-the-art medical care is provided in a modern, two-story facility which has been expanded and renovated. Dr. John Pisciotta joined Dr. Yarnell in 1992 and became a full partner in 1996. Dr. Pisciotta is nationally known as an exotic animal veterinarian and through his expertise the hospital was able to add exotic animal medicine and surgery. The hospital facility has a separate, newly refurbished exotics ward. Dr. Blair Green, who is also an expert in exotic animal care, joined Dr. Pisciotta in 2011

Mission — We are committed to providing our clients and their pets with the benefits of technologically advanced veterinary science in a comfortable and friendly environment. Led by Dr. Gary Yarnell and Dr. John Pisciotta, our clinical team focuses on preventative care as a time-proven approach to optimizing health and wellness in our patients
