Heath Animal Clinic is a full service companion animal clinic. It is our commitment to provide quality veterinary care throughout the life of your pet. Our services and facilities are designed to assist in routine preventive care for young, healthy pets; early detection and treatment of disease as your pet ages; and complete medical care as necessary during his or her lifetime
The Heath Animal Clinic has been serving Licking County since 1982. Dr. Underwood has provided this community with exceptional veterinary care, for both small companion animals and exotic pets, for over 30 years. In August of 2024, Dr. K. Lyle Simpson II took over the practice, hoping to carry on Dr. Underwood's legacy. Dr. Simpson has worked tirelessly to expand the Alexandria facility to be able to grow with the thriving community, and he is proud to now be able to do the same for the Heath location as well. We now have two additional small-animal veterinarians practicing alongside Dr. Michelle Gilbert, as well as a full staff of caring, dedicated employees
Mission — We understand the special role your pet plays in your family and are dedicated to becoming your partner in your pet's health care. We treat your pet as we would our own. Our goal is to practice the highest quality medicine with compassion and an emphasis on client education
