Summit Animal Hospital was founded in 1989 by Margaret Cumming, DVM. It has operated continuously as a small animal practice in Northfield Center, Ohio since that time. In twenty-five years, Dr. Cumming grew the practice and provided her clients with state-of-the-art veterinary care and a personalized veterinary experience. In 2004, Kelly Kontur, DVM began working at Summit Animal Hospital as a kennel worker. She was accepted into veterinary school with the aid of Dr. Cumming, who wrote one of her recommendation letters, and graduated with honors from The Ohio State University. In 2014, Dr. Kontur was hired as an associate veterinarian at Summit Animal Hospital, and in 2017, Dr. Cumming sold the practice to Dr. Kontur. Today, Dr. Kontur continues to provide a personalized veterinary experience and makes state-of-the-art diagnostics and care available to all of her patients
