Mad River Veterinary Hospital was founded in 2013 by Dr. William Maynard and his wife Nikki Maynard. In 2023, the practice purchased the building that formerly housed Valley Veterinary Hospital (opened in 1974 by Dr. David Allen) and renovated it to become the Mad River Veterinary Hospital East branch
