Overview

Provides veterinary care services for dogs, cats and exotic animals in Enid, OK

History of Dwight and Harvey Dr. Dwight Olson is a second-generation veterinarian. His Dad, Harvey, moved the family to Enid in 1959 to start the practice and treated both large farm animals as well as small animals, dogs and cats. Dwight started working as a kennel attendant at age 10 at $0.10/hour and loved to help his dad with his work. This taught him a strong work ethic and his love of medicine in the treatment of ill animals. Dwight worked all through his educational years helping his dad and saw many surgeries, injuries, sicknesses and challenges. After graduating from Oral Roberts University in 1976, with a degree in Biology, he was accepted into OSU School of Veterinary medicine and completed his DVM degree in 1980. Doing internships in Tulsa and Norman exposed him to the big city life and helped him make his decision to come "home "to Enid and all its charms. Dr. Dwight has been involved in numerous civic organizations through the years because his dad was involved in making Enid a better place to live. He has served on the chamber of commerce, two terms on the city council, and Pegasys public access station. He has served on the board of Oklahoma Bible Academy, his local church, and two civic clubs of AMBUCS, and Rotary. He has held positions in the local, regional, and state organizations of veterinary medicine, including a 10-year term on the Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners, appointed by the Governor. Dr. Dwight believes in strong involvement in the community, in schools, and the church and the value of investing in the time, talents and treasure to make Enid the best little town it can be
