I have practiced holistic veterinary medicine for over 30 years, first in the Boston area and then in Portland where in 1998 I established Holistic Housecall Veterinary Service. I offer : acupuncture treatment classical homeopathy diet evaluation & nutritional counseling physical examination geriatric and hospice care for small animal patients, mainly dogs and cats. In treating both acute and chronic conditions I use a wide range of modalities and will work with you to find the best solution for your pet's health needs. I have practiced veterinary acupuncture since becoming certified in 1991 but the dogs and cats were fearful and often could not relax for the treatment. Observing a colleague who did house-call practice it struck me that a true holistic practice could not occur in a traditional clinic setting but could happen more easily in the comfort of the pet's home and the idea of Holistic House-call Veterinary Service was born
