Doug Fir Veterinary Care was founded on a simple belief: your pets deserve a veterinary home that feels as warm and welcoming as your own. Our story starts with two sisters and a shared vision. Holly and Julie Baird grew up in Lake Oswego, Oregon where they developed a love for their community and a passion for caring for animals. After college, both sisters found their way into veterinary medicine—Holly as a hospital administrator and Julie helping veterinary teams build fulfilling, sustainable careers. Together, they brought over 30 years of combined experience and a deep understanding of what makes a veterinary practice truly special. The missing piece came when they connected with Dr. Graff, a Northwest native and Navy veteran who had earned his veterinary degree in Wisconsin and spent a decade providing compassionate care at VCA West Linn. Holly and Dr. Graff had worked side by side for years, building a foundation of trust and teamwork that would become the cornerstone of Doug Fir Veterinary Care. Together, the three founders asked themselves: what if we could create a veterinary hospital that feels different? A place where every pet is treated like family, where the care is personal, and where the community feels the difference from the moment they walk through the door
