In 1960, Dr. Dick Newsham founded a veterinary hospital at this location where he practiced veterinary medicine for 20 years. In the fall of 1980, Dr. Dale Dickey acquired the practice and established Confederate Woods Veterinary Hospital. The tradition of providing excellent, compassionate care and serving Adams County, Pennsylvania has been our focus for more than 54 years. After several years of planning, our hospital underwent a physical transformation. We began construction in August of 2013 to build a brand new 4300-square-foot hospital at our original location. In March 2014, we moved into our beautiful 4,300 square-foot hospital. Our facility allows us to provide the best possible preventative medicine, medical care, surgical care, and dental care
