Hempfield Animal Hospital was established in 1989 by Dr. William Edkin. The practice outgrew its original location and moved to its current building in 1997. With a dedication to providing the best-quality care and approaching pets as valued family members, the clinic has continued to grow and strengthen a loyal & dedicated clientele in the Hempfield area. Dr. Purvis began work at the practice on a part-time basis in 2019 and transitioned to a full-time clinician in 2020. After falling in love with the culture, ethos, and methods, the energy of the staff and the family-feel of the clients, she purchased the business in 2021
