Dr. Copeland grew up on a cattle crop and hay farm in N. Florida, and was very active in FFA and 4H. After 3 years at the University of Florida, he attended Veterinary School at Auburn University in Alabama. Upon graduation, he practiced at Gainesville Animal Hospital in Gainesville, FL for 2 years before opening a practice of his own (Santa Fe Veterinarians) with his partner Dr. Bobby Anderson. After 3 years, Dr. Copeland moved to Sarasota, FL and established Fruitville Equine Clinic and Large Animal Veterinary Services before establishing Sarasota Equine Associates with his partner Dr. William McGinty. Sarasota Equine Associates was a very successful practice that sold in 2019. Dr. Copeland continued to practice in with S.E.A. for 1 year after selling the practice, prior to leaving. In 2021 Dr. Copeland moved to his farm in Cross Anchor, SC. where he raises cattle. Cross Anchor Veterinary Services, or C.A.V.S. was established in 2022 and is now serving the upstate!
