Overview
A full-service, cutting-edge animal care facility, Highway 58 Animal Hospital has been meeting the medical requirements of Chattanooga pet owners
Highway 58 Animal Hospital was established in 1977 by Dr. Lebron Brock. In 2000, Dr. Brock hired Dr. Shane Whitaker, who became a partner in the hospital in 2005. The practice grew through the loyalty of pet owners in Chattanooga and the surrounding communities of Hixson, Harrison, and Ooltewah. In October 2014, Dr. Brock and Dr. Whitaker opened a new state-of-the-art facility. Staying at the forefront of cutting-edge veterinary techniques, the doctors added laparoscopic procedures in 2016, and Computerized Tomography (CT) capabilities in 2017

What reviewers say
The veterinary team is widely regarded as compassionate, thorough, and exceptionally kind, particularly during difficult end-of-life visits and routine care. The facility is praised for being exceptionally clean, featuring a well-designed layout with separate waiting areas for cats and dogs. Pricing is generally considered very reasonable and fair compared to other area options, with transparent cost breakdowns and affordable wellness plans. While most experiences highlight prompt, high-quality service and gentle handling of anxious pets, some visitors note challenges with scheduling, handling acute emergencies, and occasional miscommunications regarding treatment plans.
