Cherry Point Animal Hospital was founded in October of 1998 in the Indian Springs community of Kingsport, TN. The hospital is located in the historic Barger House, which was originally constructed in 1887. During our short stay in the house we have made multiple structural changes to accommodate the medical and surgical needs of our patients, while maintaining our warm home-like environment. Dr. Cherry purchased the house to open Cherry Point Animal Hospital, which was named for his Great-Grandparents homestead, called Cherry Point. It was actually in extremely well kept condition and has been an ideal place to have an office. Though he has made several additions to the building, Dr. Cherry strives to maintain the integrity of the house. It has stood for 139 years and will remain a landmark in the Indian Springs Community for many years to come
