Overview

Butler Veterinary Services began as a large animal ambulatory practice in February 2015. At this time Dr. Nathan Butler was working full time in a busy small animal exclusive practice and operating BVS as a large animal business on his days off, nights, and weekends. Dr. Nathan has always strived to provide a personal relationship with his clients and is very passionate about providing quality care for his patients and their owners. In February of 2017 Dr. Nathan was informed that the clinic in which he was practicing small animal medicine and surgery was going to be under new ownership. Dr. Nathan along with his wife Katie felt that this was the perfect time to pursue their dream of owning their own clinic. They broke ground on the new clinic in June 2017 and it was completed in December 2017. Dr. Nathan grew up in the Hardin Valley Community. He graduated from Karns High School, holds a BS in Animal Science and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from The University of Tennessee. He is very involved in the community, his family has lived in Karns since 1882. Dr. Nathan is married to his wife Katie and they have 2 kids, Norah and Eddie. They have 3 dogs, 1 cat and a herd of black Angus and Hereford beef cattle. At Butler Veterinary Services we strive to treat each animal if it were our own and hope to create and maintain lifelong relationships with our clients and patients. We hope to create that country vet feel while incorporating state of the art medicine and surgery for your pets
