Murfreesboro Animal Clinic has been serving Rutherford County ever since Dr. Hassel Bedford Smith Jr. opened our doors in the summer of 1963. Dr. Smith, a Graduate of Auburn University Veterinary School, gave back to the community through supporting and establishing numerous programs. The original clinic was located on Dashiel Street. Our current location, on Memorial Blvd, was purchased from Dr. Morgan in 1988. We have since combined both locations and rebuilt the new facility from the ground up. Dr. Smith, a beloved member of the community and a distinguished recipient of the Tennessee Veterinary Medical Association Lifetime Achievement Award, passed away in 2000 doing what he loved.
