Pleasant View Animal Hospital was founded in 1987 by Dr. David Gleaves. Just a couple of years later, in 1989, Dr. Daniel Gleaves moved back to Pleasant View to partner with his brother, Dr. David. As the hospital continued to grow, PVAH became one of the first animal hospitals in the area to become computerized in 1991. Shortly after becoming computerized, the hospital got its first blood analyzer, so bloodwork could be done in-house, and patients could be diagnosed on the same day. Through the 90s, PVAH grew to a point where another veterinarian was needed. In November of 2000, Dr. Jacqueline Lamb was hired as an associate veterinarian. With three veterinarians at the hospital, it was time for an expansion, and in 2001, the new outpatient facility was opened. The new outpatient facility allowed for another period of growth for PVAH, and in 2008, Dr. Jennifer Knight joined the team. The hospital has grown extensively since 1987 but has always maintained sufficient staffing to continue operating on a convenient walk-in basis
