Overview

Located in the heart of Baytown, Texas. Baytown Animal Hospital, led by Dr. Alvarez, is dedicated to providing top-tier veterinary care for your 4 legged family

Baytown Animal Hospital has deep roots in the Baytown community. Dr. Francisco Alvarez first walked through these doors as a kennel technician during his high school years at Baytown Sterling High School. Mentored by Dr. Christensen — a veterinarian, mentor, and friend — Dr. Alvarez was inspired to pursue veterinary medicine and earned both his undergraduate degree and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Texas A&M University, becoming the first in his family to graduate from college. In June 2020, the sudden passing of Dr. Christensen left the Baytown community at risk of losing its beloved animal hospital. Dr. Alvarez made the courageous decision to return home and acquire the practice, preserving the legacy of exceptional care that the community had come to rely on. For this commitment, he was awarded the PSI Practitioner of the Year in 2021. Today, Baytown Animal Hospital is a thriving, award-winning practice — recognized as a Readers Choice Award winner in both 2022 and 2023 — staffed by a team of three dedicated DVMs serving dogs and cats throughout Baytown and the surrounding communities

Mission — Our mission is simple: to bring Baytown the highest quality veterinary care possible. We believe every pet deserves to be treated like a member of the family — with compassion, expertise, and honesty
